the Church and Jesus

The Church and Jesus:

It should be like in a wedding, the Bride’s looking at the Groom and the Groom’s looking at the Bride, and they don’t really care about anything else. It’s the picture of the relationship b/t the church and Jesus and how it should be. We shouldn’t be distracted about other things even though that they might be sweet, and we keep our eyes on Jesus.

The Impossible

God asks us to do the impossible, but He has given us the resources to do so.

God brings us to the brink of death so we can taste and see that He is a God that raises the dead!

Water is usually a good thing, except when it sits there for long time. When it does that, it harbours germs and other nasty things. You couldn’t drink that water, or use it in any way, shape, or form. It’s good to use it when you actually can use it, germ free, healthy, and beneficial. we as Christians can be the same way. We can either be water that sits there and rots, or we can be water that is healthy, and beneficial to anybody we come into contact with.

think of me.

Packing my bags this morning
Was the hardest thing to do
But packing my bags was so easy
Compared to standing outside your door right now
to say goodbye to you

Think of me
I know you've never seen me cry
Think of me
But it's so hard to say goodbye
Think of me
What can I say to show you
I'll never give up on you
I will be waiting for you

I will be there when you call
I will see you through it all
And even in your darkest hour
I pray that the Lord we found
Will set you on solid ground

I know that is feels like leaving
Is a part of letting go
But I'm praying with hope and believing
That I'll see you once again down this road
I hope that it won't be long

Think of me
I know God brought you as a friend
Think of me
I know He'll bring you back again
Think of me
What can I say to show you
I'll never give up on you
I will be waiting for you

My Christmas Prayer

It's that time of year again
Where beauty in snow therein lies,
When people are bustling around the malls,
Where chaos and panic surrounds them all.

Christmas dinners, turkeys and hams,
All lined up at the checkout for a holiday jam.
Baked pies, spiced cider and mushy yams,
Mashed potatoes and Christmas punch,
Let's have it all, this winter glam.

But somehow amidst this so-called peace and joy,
Betwixt the children and their toys.
There sits a lonely soul, forlorn
His life, into a million pieces has been torn

Shall we walk on by?
With lofty glances, held up high
"Peace to all me", the angels declared
What have we been doing for our share?

I give you now a choice,
'tis delivered with great poise
To take this fellow's hands,
And help him, help him to stand.

Or to continue on by,
Without so much as a glance
But remember it is written,
"If you've done such a deed to the least of these,
You've done unto me"

And if one, per say, inquires,
If I am one big liar,
I tell you now I state the truth
In saying you have to walk a mile in their shoes.

Don't let your common biases drive your decision
For sometimes, they make quite an incision.
However, let us remember those forlorn souls,
Who are all by themselves, forsaken and cold.

God don't let it end like this,
Let these people have their Christmases as well
Help us to do as You've said.

Let us be your instruments of peace,
Working until the last war has ceased,
Give us this real spirit of Christmas
And let it be one, that we always remember.

All That You Can't Leave Behind

I thought I'd repost this. Fitting.

Caught in the middle,
On the edge of the dock
In front of you, the ocean of the great unknown
Behind you is comfort, security, a place that you call home.
Do you heed the lulling call of safety, ease and certainty?
Or is the voice of adventure, hazard and danger
driving you onto the boil that will sail this azure sea?
Beyond what your eye can see, past all the dangers and despairs
is a hidden treasure, its greatness unreached and unfathomed.
Think quickly, the sail is almost set
The decision you make might be the best choice ever,
or one you'll regret
The sea might take your life, or bring you uncountable riches, and ultimately, a better place.
Your experiences might like be seeing the devil, face to face
The choice is yours, take it or leave it
But know that Someone is always there for you.
And who knows?
The storms, dangers and adventures might even bring you experiences, wisdom and knowledge.
You came this far to the dock, are you going to walk away from what could be
the greatest treasure of your life?
Or will you take this leap of faith, and charge head on into the storms?
My Point?: Sometimes giving up something that is worth so much to you, might be better for you, and the people around you. Sometimes it might hurt to do so, yet deep inside you know it was the right thing to do. Somehow you find joy, knowing that it was the right thing to do. You might even come out of situations with knowledge and wisdom that has grown tenfold.

So? The sea awaits. =)

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him
fully and let go, only 1 of 2 things will happen, either
He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you
how to fly! 'The power of one sentence! God is going to
shift things around for you today and let things work in
your favor. If you believe, send it. If you don't
believe, delete it. God closes doors no man can open &
God opens doors no man can close. If you need God to open
some doors for you...send this to all your friends
including me. ...Have a blessed day and remember to be a
blessing .
